AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
An Electrical Engineer is needed in the group of hydro generators. The team designs large hydro generator components, with a primary focus on North American generator projects. The team is located at the Andritz Peterborough Generator Center, which includes a modern coil and bar manufacturing facility. In this position, the electrical design is responsible for all project stages (proposals, contract designs, manufacturing and installation). This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a candidate with related skills and experience due to the unique requirements of each hydro project.
The Electrical Engineer is expected to collaborate closely with local engineering and drafting teams, as well as externally located engineering specialists, project management, manufacturing and installation teams. It may be necessary to travel to customer locations, project sites, or other Andritz offices.
Individual duties will vary based on project requirements, but generally include the following:
