GoSilico's simulation software is the newest addition to the Cytiva family. It is used to create digital twins for downstream processing. Cytiva has bolstered its digital capabilities in bioprocessing through its collaboration with GoSilico's. Located in Karlsruhe, Germany, we are seeking a Scientist with a passion for digitalizing downstream process development. What you’ll do
Research fundamentals in bioprocess development is what you do at GoSilico's as a scientist. Your research aims to develop accurate and powerful mechanistic models for downstream purification processes, in particular for different modes of chromatographic separation and various molecule formats. As part of this role, you will be working with the R&D department project leader and conducting independent research projects. Your scientific work includes theoretical and experimental investigations of modeling approaches, as well as the development of prototypes and their systematic comparison and evaluation. As part of the role, results must also be published in scientific journals and presented at scientific conferences related to bio manufacturing. As part of the team, you will be able to support GoSilico's clients with scientific discussions, as well as develop, optimize and perform downstream processes.
Who you are
- PhD degree in biotechnology, bioprocess/biomedical engineering, physics, applied mathematics or related sciences
- Experience with mathematical models and knowledge of physical principles is essential
- Knowledge of C++, Python, or Mat lab is required
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in chromatographic or related molecular modeling
- Expertise in downstream PD, chromatography, resins and protein analytics
- Communication and presentation skills that are strong
- Good command of English (orally and in writing)
