- Design and execute training programs tailored to the needs of the manufacturing environment, focusing on safety, machine operation, quality control, and productivity.
- Schedule and coordinate training sessions, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
- Plan, create and coordinate training schedules for all company departments, track and create reports on the outcome of all training and maintain training records for the company.
- Track new hires on company policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.
- Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
- Identify SME (Subject Matter Experts) for current processes and delegate training tasks to facilitate training of new associates.
- Work with area supervisors to schedule any necessary training to limit the impact to production.
- Responsible for partnering with EHS to ensure that all Safety Training Requirements are met and tracking completion to achieve 100% compliance
- Work with all plants in the BU to standardize documents, training materials, approach, metrics, etc.
- Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities and manage the budget set for training.
- Design and develop interactive training programs (outsourced or in-house) for corporate, HR training, compliance training, etc.
- Select the best training methods or activities for a particular purpose and audience (e.g. reviewing mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, etc.).
- Responsible for all Safety Training Requirements and tracking completion.
- Use of a training matrix to accurately identify capabilities and opportunities
- Regularly consult with production managers and floor supervisors to identify training needs and skill gaps.
- Analyze production data and quality control reports to further tailor training programs.
- Develop training materials in collaboration with technical experts, ensuring content accuracy for complex manufacturing processes.
- Adapt training materials provided by equipment manufacturers for in-house use, ensuring they meet internal training standards.
- Liaise with equipment vendors to arrange specific training on new machinery or technologies adopted by the facility.
- Manage external training providers, ensuring their services meet our quality and safety standards.
- Implement evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness, focusing on tangible improvements in productivity and reduction in workplace incidents.
- Report on training outcomes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure all training programs comply with OSHA standards and other relevant regulations.
- Keep records of safety and compliance training up to date.
- Ensure all Hubbell University training is completed and documented
- At least 2 years of experience in a training role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Certified Training Professional (CTP) or similar certification.
- Experience with e-learning platforms.
- Bilingual abilities (especially in languages prevalent in the workforce).
