Specific Requirements:
Software verification engineer responsible for the software verification of the Informatics product software connected to medical diagnostics instruments. Key responsibilities of the position include all aspects of the software verification in a medical diagnostics laboratory environment, adherence to company and regulatory procedures, software quality, collection and reporting of metrics. This position is located at the Siemens Healthineers facility in Bangalore, India that develops Siemens medical diagnostics instruments for use in hospitals and diagnostics laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare software test cases in collaboration with software verification team members.
- Prepare test environments, including operating system installation, network configuration, and programme installation, among other things.
- Execute test cases on diagnostic instruments in the laboratory.
- Regression testing should be done.
- Ascertain that software quality objectives are satisfied.
- Participate in and support initiatives to improve the product testing process.
- Follow all company and regulatory policies.
Desired Skills:
- Industry-accepted testing procedures
- Experience with medical diagnostics instruments and/or interface with automation systems/devices is preferred.
- Experience with network issues and scripting languages Experience working in a regulated industry
- Strong decision-making and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and organizing abilities
- Have strong self-motivation and the ability to work in a team setting up and managing test environments in a network or cloud.
- It is required to have a working knowledge of operating systems and database systems.
- Familiarity with project (sprint) and test management technologies, preferably Azure DevOps/TFS
Good to have skills ( not really a required skill):
- exposure to web application i.e. multi tier application testing
- exposure to API testing
- exposure Testing the containerized applications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, EE, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
