We are looking for a Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join our team. We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.
Purpose of the Job:
As a Graduate Engineering Manager, you will join the Reliability Maintenance Engineering team.
The Graduate Engineering Manager is our entry level manager role, designed to allow recently graduated students in a relevant Engineering discipline the opportunity to build experience and grow to become our future leaders. The role and program are designed to build both hands on technical and managerial experience, in order to quickly become an integral member of the site management team, responsible for delivering a high level of equipment availability by ensuring all preventative maintenance activities are conducted whilst following all internal processes and procedures.
In accordance with the Graduate Engineering Manager program, candidates must agree in advance to relocate to a geographical area that may differ from the one in which they are hired. Relocation assistance will be provided where this applies for full-time opportunities.
Please note:
For this role, flexibility in terms of relocation during the role is essential. You will be posted at different locations throughout your time in role.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager as they work with the site Safety department & site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.
- Implement and carry out network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Work with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.
- Learn the key aspects of all site based RME (Reliability Maintenance Engineering) roles.
- Manage projects or tasks as directed by the site manager.
- Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a solid connection to the team and daily work.
- Willingness to travel as required to other Amazon locations to support training and development.
- Work alongside Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technicians to understand day-to-day challenges faced.
- Lead small to medium sized teams of multi-skilled Technicians; developing direct line management responsibilities.
Basic Qualification:
- Recently graduated or working towards a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical).
- Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
Preferred Qualification:
- Knowledge of appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office, Computer-aided Design).
- Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Control) based control systems.
- Knowledge of Project Management frameworks.
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Processes.
- Knowledge of Automated Warehousing environments.
- Team leadership experience.
- Up to 2 years’ work experience within a relevant industry.
