- Remote and on-site technical support for X-ray and Vascular.
- Support FE's, CST's, and customers remotely and onsite using successful, effective field experience and knowledge.
- Updating knowledge of modality products, service expertise, and tools to maintain "field advisor" status.
- Implement the GEHC escalation process as needed, collaborating with local customer and national support to define and support implementation of corrective action plans to resolve customer issues as quickly as possible.
- Drive service effectiveness with the "Game plan" tool. Contribute to knowledge
- PSDB (Problem Solution Database).
- Improve productivity tools through idea generation, workout attendance, and small projects as needed.
- Support the cost improvement initiatives for material and purchased services.
- Serve as a change agent/ field advisor in areas such as product serviceability and reliability, quality trend analysis, productivity program development and implementation, national moderation program execution, and new product introduction support.
- Enhance business processes to maximize competitiveness and enable business growth.
- Increase the number of customer systems connected to the internet to improve remote troubleshooting and remote fix rates.
- Working with Modality/Service Engineering, Product Engineering and Field Support specialists to improve product quality, serviceability, and resolve formal customer escalations.
- Coaching and training FEs to ensure their technical and customer skills are up-to-date and meet the needs of the business. May occasionally serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for FE training through the Service Quality Standard (SQS) training curriculum.
- Improve field processes such as pre-processing
- Work performed by PMs, PM cycle time, remote TTR work, field work
- Based technical training to support the use of remote diagnostic troubleshooting tools and processes.
- Improve field quality by including hazardous/non-hazardous complaints in Track wise.
- Visit customer sites to support installations, FMIs, and customer escalations (CSOs).
- Maintain and enhance modality knowledge, including: Networking / Dicom / Insite / PACS / OS field service experience, understanding of legacy (insert modality) products. Knowledge and experience with Common Service Desktop, CRM, and other remote tools as needed.
- An FE II, or FE III, or the equivalent outside of GE with regard to the repair and maintenance of X-ray and Vascular systems; demonstrated ability to handle/resolve technical issues with advanced knowledge of applicable systems.
- A high school diploma or GED AND 8+ years of service experience servicing mechanical or electrical equipment,
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering, or related field AND 5 years of experience servicing mechanical and/or electrical equipment
- A military education equivalent to an Associate's or Bachelor's degree AND 5 years of experience servicing mechanical or electrical equipment.
- Must have consistently performed as an FE II, or an FE III, or the equivalent external to GEHC for a period of 5 years before consideration
