The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with collecting data using biomedical measurement systems and background and interest in signal processing.
Description:
You Will Have The Following Responsibilities:
- Characterize and qualify biomedical measurement systems for integration into data collection workflow
- Develop and validate test procedures to enable system qualification
- Optimize data acquisition procedures for sensor measurements
- Run small internal studies with a focus on high quality data collection
- Rapidly prototype analysis concepts based on literature reviews.
- Develop robust analysis tools that work on large datasets (hundreds of thousands of images or signals)
- Verify and validate existing software tools.
- Perform statistical analyses on experimental datasets
Education & Experience:
- MS or BS in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science with hands-on experience collecting and analyzing data from biomedical sensing systems.
Key Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with collecting data using biomedical measurement systems and a background in image or signal processing.
- Experience with biomedical instrumentation
- Strong programming ability in MATLAB; signal processing is a plus
- Experience with experimental design; measurement system analysis is a plus
- Experience with physiological feature engineering and feature extraction is a plus.
- Comfortable learning to use new equipment and has the courage to fail
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology
- Strong communication and documentation skills
