- Be mechanically inclined and have a strong technical background, preferably in medical imaging equipment. Experience with Computed Tomography (CT) is preferred.
- Communication skills - be able to communicate effectively, be articulate, and passionate.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing
- An experienced trainer who can excite and engage their audience.
- Know the business side of the clinical side and/or have prior experience with it.
- Comply with regulatory requirements by keeping all training and certification records.
Expectation of the role:
- We offer 30% formal classroom training at our Danvers, MA headquarters. Every year, about 12 weeks.
- Documentation creation/updates include training, service manuals, and bulletins. Communication with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Service.
- Maintenance of formal marketing and training equipment.
- The Field Service Engineers travel 10 percent domestically to diagnose, repair, and validate the training materials.
Key Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate annual training programs
- For both new hires and ongoing training efforts, maintain and update existing training materials
- Conduct an evaluation of trainees' skills & knowledge & provide management with documentation and feedback
- Have knowledge and ability to service and repair any system (current, new, updated)
- Training and certification requirements must be met.
- While in direct contact with radiation emitting devices, they are required to wear dosimeters
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degrees in Engineering, Electronics or a minimum of 10 years progressive technical experience.
- Training in service and repair of medical equipment and experience training others is preferred. CT and imaging experience is an asset
- Health Stream Certificates or Awareness Training from ISO, FDA, CMDR, or CMDR Awareness Training are preferred
- MS Office and Google Chrome proficiency required
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- When maneuvering Company equipment for repair, it is often necessary to push/pull weights over 100 pounds
- It is frequently needed to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and speak or listen
- Driving and/or sitting for a long period of time is a requirement while traveling
- Regularly exposed to wet conditions (non-weather); fumes or particles in the air; harmful air borne particles; outdoor conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather).
- As a result, strict safety and tracking measures are in place, involving the use of dose monitoring equipment either full-time or as needed, depending on the situation
- A high level of noise in the work environment, which is occasionally very loud.
- The job requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjustment of focus, and peripheral vision abilities.
