Position Overview
Responsible for the system administration, troubleshooting and support of Hubbell Server support team and IT Operations environments. This will include, but is not limited to environment monitoring, problem identification, research, isolation, and resolution of issues. Primary responsibilities include Monitoring, Patching, and incident resolution. Support of Office365 and Active Directory administration. This position will work with the Compliance and Audit departments as necessary in supporting all compliance processes for Reporting and access reviews and department audit.
This position will report to the IT Manager – India IT and work closely with the Global IT Server Operations team to determine proper server configurations, processes, and procedures. This position is also accountable for Hubbell Systems, hardware/software documentation, server vulnerability patching and compliance, Server projects, and second level user support. This position will interact regularly with compliance and audit, in support of Policy compliance in our support processes.
India Operations
BURNDY Technology and Global Business Services Private Limited (HUBBELL INDIA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hubbell Inc. Hubbell India provides Engineering Services, Business Solutions and IT Services. Hubbell Engineering located in Ascendas, ITPL,Chennai, is engaged in the business of computer aided design and engineering services. The Hubbell Business Solutions functions at Infopark Kochi, provide superior business intelligence, knowledge services and business process solutions across Hubbell divisions and Corporate. IT Services team is spread across Chennai and Kochi.
Hubbell Electrical Products LLP located in Chennai is poised to assist with part and product manufacturing for all Hubbell Business units
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implementation and Support for Hubbell systems including installation, maintenance, administration, documentation and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
- Maintain the overall health, performance, security, and patching of all Hubbell environments.
- Perform ticket queue monitoring, resolution, and prioritization.
- Responsible for ensuring Hubbell Compliance and Change Control procedures are strictly followed.
- Enforce company policies, standards and procedures.
- Work with compliance and audit for completing user access reviews and compliance tasks
- Provide detailed troubleshooting, resolution, and root cause analysis to assure SLA compliance to the business.
- Maintain availability of infrastructure using monitoring tools.
- Responsible for the administration of backups.
- Act as technical liaison for the department to provide services and interface with clients and/or vendors.
- Maintain and update diagrams, documentation, and runbooks as appropriate.
- Maintain and supervise Server Operations inventory.
- Second level end-user support including maintenance and troubleshooting of employee workstations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Availability to work a scheduled oncall rotation covering off hours support of production services. Providing necessary off hours support, when necessary, as a SME, in support of Oncall team for product support of P1 issues
- Participate in monthly scheduled maintenance.
- Provide Support and assistance to other departments as needed.
- Assist other team members as needed on tasks, projects, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Skills and Experience
Experience with:
- Active Directory Administration
- System/Network administration
- Virtualization - VMware and\or Hyper-V
- Windows Server
- Veeam Backup and Replication
- Windows Server Update Services
- Rack and Blade Servers
- Cloud systems management
- Understanding of LAN/WAN connectivity.
- Advanced customer service skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
